Dating back to the Civil War, this academy has trained the boys who would later turn the tides of
every major war up to and including Desert Storm. This privately owned military academy was one
of the first to combine classical studies with military training. Although a strong and dedicated
alumni population exists, the school fell on hard times and closed down for good in 1984. The
Pentecostal church as since bought the land and has renovated all of the buildings with the
exception of the barracks which has fallen into disrepair. The alumni association also runs a
museum on the grounds of the academy
